I don’t always wear feather boas and fascinators—but when I do I post it to my blog!
Welcome! I was hoping you’d stop by! Come on in and sit a spell while we talk about these, those, and the other things that inspire us to be more creative, kind, joyous, relaxed, hopeful, peaceful, and loving people.
Do you live an inspired life?
I’m Becky and this is my first blog post. In it I will use the 26 letters of the alphabet and mix them up to form words and sentences. Why do I want to do this? Because I am inspired! I am drawn by inspiration from the breath of God! And this blog is where you can find me hanging out, looking for inspiration in the mundane, the messy, and the magnificent.
Where do you find inspiration?
Do you love the serendipity of finding inspiration in unexpected places and ways?
What motivates you to get up in the morning and greet the day?
Do you feel like you have to search for inspiration, or wait for inspiration to strike like a bolt of lightning?
Do you feel uninspired and want to become more inspired?
Do you want to inspire others?
Whatever the case, this blog is for you!
I’ll be sharing lots of ways I find inspiration and encouragement for the journey, including my faith, my brave blind dog Watson (as well as other pets I have known), sign language and those who use it, travel, and even difficult things like overcoming cancer, and grief and loss. And just everyday life, which can be viewed lots of different ways—but I like to view it through the eyes of inspiration. My interests are very eclectic, and I’ve been told I have a quirky sense of humor (okay, the word “weird” may have been used).
I want to share my stories with you—fun, funny, adventurous, sad, rough, and ordinary, not only in the hopes that you may find inspiration and encouragement within them, but that you might recognize inspiration in your own stories and share those here. I’d love to hear them! I want you to realize that you are an inspiration to others, as well.
Drawn by Inspiration describes the way I feel about God-breathed inspiration in life as well as inspiration to create. I draw and paint as well as write—my current creative passion is drawing adult coloring pages, especially featuring scriptures, sign language, cancer awareness ribbons, and other things that inspire me. Adult coloring pages are typically more intricate than children’s coloring books, but would also be fun for teens. By nature this describes adult coloring pages. But be careful, because some artists actually draw “adult” pages and books, if you get my drift. Most of us don’t—we just draw for grownup tastes and skill level. I do a lot of scripture embellishing in mine. If you are interested in seeing my art, check out my Etsy shop, Spring Mill Art Designs.
I’m so glad you landed here on my blog! I’m excited to share the journey. So grab a cuppa, find a comfy chair, relax, and let’s chat for awhile about this, that, and the other. I’ll start: Where do you find your greatest source of inspiration? You have 26 letters to work with (yes, you can use the letters more than once)…and…go!
Hot chocolate and beignets at Café du Monde in New Orleans…yum!
